The Lion G1 by the Numbers: 120 km of Range from RM1,599

The Lion G1 was built to answer one question: what would it take to make an electric motorcycle that ordinary Malaysians actually buy? The answer, it turns out, is honest numbers and an honest price.

What it does

A 3,000-watt motor carries the Lion G1 up to 120 km on a full charge — comfortably more than most daily commutes — and a fast charge takes the battery to 50% in about 90 minutes. GGR backs the bike with a warranty of up to 50,000 km.

  • 3,000 W electric motor
  • Up to 120 km range per full charge
  • Fast charge to 50% in ~90 minutes
  • Warranty up to 50,000 km

What it costs

The Lion G1 lists at RM3,999, but eligible buyers pay just RM1,599 under the government's MARiiCas subsidy — and e-hailing riders qualify for a further RM250 off. At that price, going electric can cost less than many used petrol bikes.

A second model on the way

The Lion G1 isn't the whole story. GGR has confirmed a second model, the Tiger R1, priced at RM7,699 before rebates — broadening the range as the company pursues its One Household, One EV ambition.

Affordable, warranted and built for the daily ride, the Lion G1 is GGR's argument that the switch to electric doesn't have to be a luxury.
